Finding the right finance to help businesses grow can be an uphill struggle in the current climate. The Lancashire Investment Panel is providing the opportunity for ambitious businesses in Lancashire to pitch at our offices on Castle Hill, Lancaster. 

Once again we are partnering with Enterprise Ventures, one of the region’s leading providers of venture capital and private equity, to promote growth in the North West. The Panel, which will comprise savvy business advisors, investment managers and high net worth individuals, will help with both funds and advice.

Charter's Managing Director and entrepreneur Trevor Bargh will chair the Investment Panel. Having run his own business for more than 20 years, Trevor has a vast amount of business experience. He outlines ‘the shape’ of businesses the panel is seeking to attract:

Pounds
  • Company must have passed first base i.e. have paying customers
  • The company must have a distinguishable high quality management team
  • The company must possess both strong vision and marketing expertise
  • Both product and business model must be saleable
  • Intellectual barriers to entry where possible
  • Ideally 3-20 employees
  • A monthly income
  • Clear prospects of growth
  • Unrealised potential

Applicants are asked to submit their outline plans before the event takes place. On the day they will be expected to make a short pitch to the panel of experts. There will be a question and answer session and all applicants will be given constructive feedback and advice on how to progress.
